April Service Update

Further to my previous update, MRM continues to follow government guidelines and we remain open for business. Respecting the needs of our most vulnerable staff is paramount in our planning. Where working from home is possible, we have enabled staff to do so. Keeping in touch with each other and our clients is always vital and I’m pleased to say the video conferencing capability within our telephone system is being given a thorough workout!

Of course the nature of our business dictates that the majority of our warehouse and operational staff are required on site. Ensuring their safety remains a priority and I would like to put on record how grateful I am for their continued support. Following the simple steps of social distancing (particularly around work stations), regular cleaning of working space and constant hand washing have become an accepted norm for all the staff on site. We have of course put a temporary hold on visits to site by clients and trading partners; I am delighted that where visitors have been required to enter the premises, they have been fulsome in their praise of how we screen their visits and respect their needs for distancing and access to hand washing.

Our digital development capability remains undiminished. Our IT team is currently busy and engaged on preparing a variety of client campaigns that will see the light of day in the coming weeks. We currently have some storage capacity within the warehouses and continue to maintain a healthy stock of packaging materials. As ever, we are also able to provide bespoke print support for those clients and campaigns that require it. The majority of our delivery service providers continue to operate on a business as usual footing. Demand for their services is naturally high at present. We are in constant contact with our delivery partners managing SLAs on our clients’ behalf and can advise clients on any impact the current situation might have on their expectations accordingly.

Despite the unprecedented times we are all facing, the need for brands to engage with their customers has arguably never been greater. MRM is as close to business as usual as we can be. And of course we will continue to support & meet the digital and marketing logistical needs of existing clients and prospects alike. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you require some help.

Best wishes,

Marc Rigby, Managing Director
